PM pays a fact-finding tour to Hanoi's social housing project of Dang Xa

During the visit to the social housing project of Dang Xa in Hanoi`s Gia Lam district on December 6, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highly appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Construction, the municipal People`s Committee and the investor to create a social housing model with civilised living conditions and sufficient facilities.

Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited the social housing project of Dang Xa in Gia Lam district in Hanoi on December 6.
The social housing project of Dang Xa which was invested by Viglacera Corporation, covers 69.6 hectares of land. It features 23 buildings with 3,162 flats.
The project is accompanied by synchronous support facilities such as nurseries, kindergartens, sporting areas, restaurants, and supermarkets, along with greenery.
Listening to local residents’ opinions about their accommodation, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc said social housing construction is a major policy of the Party and State to help low-income people afford houses.
After the fact-finding tour, the PM had a brief working session with the Hanoi People’s Committee and the investor.

The Government leader applauded their efforts to create a social housing model with civilised living conditions and sufficient facilities.
The Government will increase social housing so that more low-income earners can have their own houses, the PM assured Hanoi dwellers.
PM Phuc asked the Ministry of Construction and Hanoi authorities to learn from successes and shortcomings of the Dang Xa social housing project and others in the capital to expand affordable housing across the country.
The PM is scheduled to chair a national teleconference on December 7 to review the development of social housing and set up orientations for this work in the time ahead.
Ealier, Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung has asked ministries and authorities to speed up the building of social housing in industrial and economic zones nationwide.
In the Government Office’s document released on September 5, Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung asked provincial and municipal People’s Committees to allocate land and raise policies to attract investments in developing social housing projects and social facilities to improve living standards of workers in industrial and economic zones and industrial clusters
The development of industrial and economic zones has not paid adequate attention to developing housing for workers, as well as social facilities.
