President Tran Dai Quang extends New Year greetings to fellow and soldiers

President Tran Dai Quang has extended his seasonal greetings and best wishes to citizens nationwide on the eve of the traditional lunar New Year Festival (Tet Holiday).

President Tran Dai Quang Following is the full text of his message:

"Fellow countrymen, comrades and soldiers,

On behalf of Party and State leaders, I extend the best wishes to fellow countrymen, comrades and soldiers as we celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year Festival. On behalf of the Vietnamese State and people, I wish people all over the world a new year of peace, happiness and prosperity.

In 2016, the entire Vietnamese nation got past numerous difficulties and challenges to record important progress in all areas.

Welcoming the new year, every Vietnamese should uphold patriotism, the tradition of the offspring of the Dragon and Fairy, self-reliance, solidarity and creativity and do our utmost to successfully implement the 12th National Party Congress’ resolution, ushering in a new period of prosperity and happiness.

With solid confidence in the strength of the nation and a brighter prospect, we’re resolved to achieve greater successes in the renewal process and in safeguarding national independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity for a powerful state of Vietnam and an eternal Vietnamese nation on a par with international friends.

New year, new momentum, new determination and new vitality! We’re united and success will absolutely come!
