President Tran Dai Quang held talks with US President Obama

This morning, the welcome ceremony US President Barack Obama took place at the Presidential Palace, a prelude to the activities of his visit to Vietnam.

President Obama had bilateral talks with President Tran Dai Quang

10:50 a.m, after the official welcoming ceremony, President Tran Dai Quang has had talks with the US President Barack Obama at the Presidential Palace. Senior officials accompanied Obama during the tour including National Security Adviser Susan Rice, Secretary of State John Kerry and the US Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius.
 

10:45 am, President Tran Dai Quang hosted the official welcoming ceremony to the US President Barack Obama

President Tran Dai Quang and President Obama stepped onto the podium saluting. The US military band plays the National Anthem. President Obama solemnly placed his hand on his heart. Next, the military band plays the National Anthem of Vietnam.
