Promoting value of the Phong Nha - Ke Bang world natural heritage

The Prime Minister has approved a master development plan for Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in the Central province of Quang Binh by 2030.

Accordingly, the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park is expected to welcome around 650,000 tourists, including 55,000 international visitors by 2020. It is forecast to receive 1,350,000 tourists, including around 55,000 international visitors by 2030.
Under the plan, the heritage’s feature and integrity will be preserved in close conjunction with efforts to conserve Laos’ Hin Nammo ecological region and Truong Son Range’s ecological system.
A biological diverse corridor, which connects the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park to other natural areas in the Central region, will be founded and controlled along basin of the Son, Ranh and Nhat Le rivers.

 

 
Activities of handicraft production, mining, business and population development will be controlled in the buffer zone, especially at the Thuong Trach, Cha Lo border gates and along the banks of the Son river.
The tourism development in the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park will be collaborated with other sea tourism centers in Quang Binh province and Central region on the “Central Heritage Road” national tourism route.
Festival- focused tour stretching from sea to the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park will be set up.
Luxury tourism service centers will also be built in the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, on the Son, Trooc and Long Dai rivers.
Landscape and tourism urban areas will be established in the Phong Nha tourism urban area, providing luxury urban services and acquiring the national park’s tourism for a population of 13,000-18,000 people by 2020 and 15,000-20,000 people by 2030.
