The “Cave Festival 2015” will be held in the central province of Quang Binh from July 15-21. The opening ceremony is set to kick-off at Bao Ninh Sea Square on July 17.
The festival aims to elevate and promote the culture, tourism, and unique value of Quang Binh’s cave system, attracting more tourism to the province to boost socio-economic development.
The opening ceremony will inlude an art performance, themed “Quang Binh - vuong quoc hang dong” (Quang Binh-Kingdom of the caves) and an accompanying fireworks show.
During the festival, fairs on food and handicraft products will take place in Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district on July 15-19, and in Bao Ninh commune, Dong Hoi City on July 15-21.
Besides, an art performance is planned to take place in Phong Nha Tourism Centre on July 15-19.
In particular, on July 15-21, Quang Binh province is to host a week on exploring caves, including starting new and promotional tours.
