Routes Asia 2022 will bring together decision makers to accelerate the region's recovery.

The opening ceremony of the Route Development Forum for Asia (Routes Asia) 2022, which took place on June 6 in Vietnam, attracted the attendance of more than 500 aviation and tourism delegates from more than 200 entities in 42 countries and territories.
The event is expected to provide a platform for the region's airlines, airports, tourism authorities, and aviation stakeholders to meet, share best practices and come together to develop network strategies and ensure future air service development across the Asia Pacific.

This was the first international investment promotion event in the Asian aviation sector held in Danang City.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Forum, Dinh Viet Thang, Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, said the event was held at the time when Vietnam's aviation activities are allowed to fully recover. It creates a promotion opportunity for the development of the aviation and tourism industry in Vietnam.
He added that the successful organization of Routes Asia 2022 would prove that Vietnam continues to be a safe and attractive destination for tourists around the world in the post-Covid-19 period, and a dynamic center of aviation and tourism development in the Asia-Pacific region.
“As the aviation authority of Vietnam, we are committed to creating the most favorable conditions for licensing airlines to operate flights to Vietnam in general and Danang in particular,” he underlined.
Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Danang City People's Committee, added that the hosting of the Forum positions Danang City as a tourist destination and demonstrates the city's strong determination in restoring the aviation and tourism industries.
"Hopefully, Danang would bring a comfortable and effective environment for business exchanges and connections between aviation and tourism partners participating in the event,” the city leader said.
Within the framework of the forum, visitors also have the opportunity to participate in business matching events, conference programs, and seminars as well as visit booths. The event will run until June 8.
