Russian telecom group helps local IT students

Hanoi Times– Russia ’s largest telecom investment group Altimo o­n Dec. 7 launched a scholarship programme for Vietnamese IT students.

Hanoi Times– Russia ’s largest telecom investment group Altimo o­n Dec. 7 launched a scholarship programme for Vietnamese IT students.

 

The Altimo Foundation Vietnam Scholarship Project will select 12 of the country’s best students each year to study in Europe, a spokesman from the 30 billion USD group said.

 

Altimo, which is planning to invest in some of Vietnam’s top GSM mobile operators, such as MobiFone, Vinaphone and Viettel, said it would put US$ 1 million into the foundation this year and US$ 2 million in 2008.
