Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Tran Dai Quang extended his warmest congratulations to journalists and those working at press agencies nationwide on their traditional day. President Tran Dai Quang has hailed the Vietnam revolutionary press for its great contributions to the struggle for the national independence and liberation, the cause of national construction and defence, as well as the country’s overall achievements.
In addition, President Tran Dai Quang stressed that over the past 92 years, many generations of Vietnamese journalists have promoted their role as vanguard revolutionary soldiers of the Party and State in the cultural-ideological front. The country always remembers the exploits of journalists-soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of their fatherland and for the happiness of the people, he emphasised.

The press has also promptly sourced and praised exemplary models, as well as contributing to the fight against corruption and helping to consolidate people’s trust in the Party and State, he added.
