Singapore helps Vietnam in HR training

A group of 30 senior officials from northern Bac Ninh province is in Singapore to be trained as master trainers on public administration and human resource (HR) management.

The training workshop is held at Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University (NTU) from October 13-17.

This is a component of the cooperation programme between Singapore and Vietnam. Accordingly, Bac Ninh is the second locality in Vietnam, after Quang Ninh, having its officials trained at NTU.

The trainees will get expertise and experience in public administration, policy and governance, HR management and urban planning.

NTU representative Guo Sam Nan said the training for Bac Ninh officials will include the content of foreign investment attraction and industrial zones’ management.

The training for Vietnamese officials is specially designed to include speeches by professors and former Government officials, and fact-finding tours of Government’s offices.

Over the past three years, NTU has trained more than 300 Vietnamese officials.
