Hanoi Times - Spanish conductor Carlos Cuesta will lead the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra on May 9. The concert is one of many cultural activities on the occasion of Europe Days in Vietnam.
The conductor has selected a number of compositions, including some rare Spanish pieces and first movements entitled Childhood Melody from the Half a Life symphony by Vietnamese composer Tran Manh Hung. The group will also perform a masterpiece by the musical genius Ludwig van Beethoven during the second part of the program.
Carlos Cuesta is one of the most prolific conductors of the Spanish musical scene. From 1990 to 1995, he was a lecturer of the National Spanish Orchestra. From 1995 to 2002, he was the lead conductor of
