Appreciating the strong and comprehensive relationship development between Vietnam and Japan, especially after the two countries’ relationship was upgraded to a “Deep and extensive strategic partners for peace and prosperity in Asia” in 2014, the Vietnamese State leader reaffirmed Japan is one of Vietnam’s leading and long-term partners.
President Quang expressed his hope that Ambassador Ryotaro Sugi, with his prestige and vast experience, will continue creating initiatives and practical activities to further promote the strategic partnership between the two nations in the coming time.
For his part, Ambassador Ryotaro Sugi congratulated President Quang on being elected as head of the State of Vietnam and informed the President that in the framework of the visit, he had working sessions with the Ministry of Planning and Investment to boost the implementation of Japan’s aid in the form of equipment provision to the firefighting force.
The diplomat said during this visit, his delegation is being accompanied by some firms operating in the fields of food and agriculture which want to cooperate with Vietnamese partners.
Ryotaro Sugi also suggested expanding partnership in training and education, tourism and people-to-people exchange to strengthen mutual understanding.
President Quang said Vietnam will create the best conditions for all enterprises who want to cooperate with Vietnamese partners and invest their capitals in agriculture and clean processing in Vietnam.
The State leader also welcomed Japan’s programme to bring undergraduates to Vietnam to work as interns, and affirmed that Vietnam will provide the best possible support of such schemes. Vietnam will speed up the procedures for the reception aid from Japan and use them effectively, Quang noted.
