Hanoi prepares for general election amid Covid-19 resurgence
The people of Hanoi are hanging panels, slogans, and flags to welcome the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the upcoming 2021-2026 term.
On May 23, Vietnamese eligible voters will go to the polls to elect deputies to the 15th National Assembly and the People's Councils at all levels, term 2021 - 2026. In celebration of the great event, Hanoi streets are being embellished. The Square of August Revolution, one of the most frequented places of the capital city, is enlivened with flowers, flags, and banners. |
Banners and flags are hung in front of the State Bank of Vietnam as well as streets in the city’s downtown. |
The decorations on Dien Bien Phu Street (Ba Dinh District) aim to create a jubilant and exciting atmosphere. |
Banners are placed on the median strips of Hanoi thoroughfares. |
The panel on Hoan Kiem Lake reads: Elections of National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels directly contribute to the building of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the State of the People, by the people, and for the people. |
The panel on the Giai Phong Road reads: "Warmly welcome the election day the 15th National Assembly and People's Committee of all levels for term 2021-2026 term". |
