Strengthening auditing cooperation between India and Vietnam

A Vietnamese delegation led by State Auditor General Nguyen Huu Van recently visited India aiming to promote cooperation in governmental auditing, accounting and financial reporting.

During the visit, Van held a working session with Indian Comptroller and Auditor General Shashi Kant Sharma on September 8.Van told his guest that said Vietnam wants to learn from India’s practical experiences in the field.
 

 


He also asked for the support of India as President of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) in Vietnam’s bid to host the 14th ASOSAI Congress in 2018.

For his part, Kant Sharma pledged to provide assistance to Vietnam in personnel training and on technical matters and to support Vietnam’s request to host the ASOSAI Congress.

He expressed his hope that bilateral cooperation between the two sides will continue to develop and accepted the invitation extended by Van to visit Vietnam in the near future.
