The city by 2045 is expected to become a financial and economic hub of Asia and an attractive global city with GRDP per capita of US$37,000.
Hanoi envisions to become a highly competitive city nationwide and of the region in a five-year time by restructuring the growth model based on technological advancement and innovation.
The construction – industry sector was among key contributors for economic growth by an expansion rate of 7.99% year-on-year, representing an increase of 1.43-fold year-on-year.
Hanoi targets to achieve an average economic growth of 7.5-8% during the 2021-25 period.
The main objective of the national economic census is to serve as the foundation for the calculation of the country’ GDP and GRDP data.
To date, Hanoi has effectively contained the pandemic situation, which helps avoid disruption of economic activities and daily life of the public, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue has said.
The data collection period is set to take place from March 1 to July 30, 2021 on various economic component groups.
By 2025, Hanoi targets to complete the industrialization process and reach a GRDP per capital of US$8,300-8,500.
The city will give its utmost priority to containing the Covid-19 pandemic, while putting up efforts to ensure speedy economic recovery and economic restructuring.
