This affirmation was heard by Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan at the opening ceremony of International Techmart Vietnam 2015 held in Hanoi on October 1.
The International Techmart Vietnam 2015 (Techmart 2015) was officially opened in Hanoi on October 1.
With the theme “Linking the integration and sustainable development”, Techmart 2015 was organized by Ministry of Science & Technology, ASEAN Committee on Science and Technology, Hanoi People’s Committee from October 1-4, 2015 at International Exhibition Center, 91 Tran Hung Dao street, Hanoi.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Le Hong Son attended the opening ceremony. Tran Viet Thanh, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology said, Techmart 2015 will attract the participation of 600 stores, including domestic units and 100 foreign stores. The event will introduce region and world’s leading technologies, equipments.
It will boost the creation and development of the technology market, strengthening the linkage between research, training and production - business, promoting commercialization of science and technology products with ASEAN + 3 countries, EU, Russia, the US.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman Le Hong Son affirmed that Techmart 2015 plays an important role to Hanoi's science-technology in particular and Vietnam's the sector in general, especially in the time that the municipal People's Party are celebrating the 61st anniversary of the capital’s Liberation Day.
Hanoi hopes scientists receive more orders and have many new researchs, especially in applied research to address the city's pressing issues such as traffic congestion, food safety, environmental pollution, Son stressed.
In his speech at the event, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan emphasized that Techmart 2015 will be the best opportunity for units to introduce, transfer results of science and technology research, technologies, equipments and their new products into production, finding partners to direct contact with customers and expanding the domestic and international market.
