The artist linking East-West culture

Valuable art transcends all boundaries and differences, enabling people from countries around the world to connect and understand each other. For many years, with the talent and passion of painting, with deep love with Vietnam, artist Van Duong Thanh has become a "cultural linker", bringing Vietnam`s beauty to share with international friends.

The White Lotus villa of artist Van Duong Thanh - a museum of miniature painting has become a cultural address. This is not only a place to win prizes but also a place for artists, international friends for exchanging and learning. They are ambassadors of many countries in Hanoi, politicians, artists, cultural and foreign businessmen working in Hanoi or visiting Vietnam.

Living abroad for a long time but Van Duong Thanh still has Vietnamese in her mind. The artist is a harmonious combination of East and West cultures, with a charming long dress and long black hair, fluent and rich English, confident and polite style.

Through her works, Van Duong Thanh has built bridges of culture and art between Vietnam and other countries. In the year 2017, her compositions were displayed in Vietnam National Day celebrations held by the Vietnamese embassies in Romania, China and Moldavia. Thus, international visitors have the opportunity to enjoy painting, natural scenery, exposure of traditional Vietnamese culture.

In particular, artist Van Duong Thanh is one of the typical cultural faces of Vietnam to attend APEC Summit. In order to contribute to the success of the conference, the artist donated 50 copies of her work to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to print calendars for Vietnamese ambassadors in various countries and APEC delegates. These are works on the theme of ancient architecture in Hanoi and Vietnamese countryside.

Thanks to her contributions to the meaningful activities of the country, artist Van Duong Thanh has been honored by the organizers of APEC conference and forum to connect the business community as a prominent social worker in 2017. As the only artist to be honored at the event, the artist said: "For the artist's life, making efforts to contribute the country and being recognized, it is the happinest."
