In response to instruction of the Politburo, ministries, sectors and localities have strictly implemented Resolution 30-NQ/TW dated March 12, 2014 of the Politburo and Resolution 118/2014/ND-CP dated December 17, 2014 of the Government on further restructuring, renovating and developing agriculture and forestry companies and enhancing their operation.
So far, 40 among 41 master plans have been approved by the Prime Minister. Many localities, enterprises and corporations proactively conduct the restructuring and renovationwith two models (two-member limited liability company and joint stock company). So far, 252 companies have received approval of the Prime Minister.
Total area over 2.4 million hectares of land are managed and used by agriculture and forestry companies, of which 404,899 hectares are agriculture land, over 1.8 million hectares forestry land, 35,300 hectares non-agriculture land, and around 1.9 million hectares unused land. According to the plan, after restructuring of the companies, around 1.9 million hectares of land remain. Production and business facilities stabilize their operation; financial shortcomings, dispute and land encroachment are settled.
Vietnamese Government requested ministries, sectors and localities to take comprehensive measures to complete the restructuring, renovation and development of agriculture and forestry companies, enhance their operation and capacity according to approved projects, handle the problems, complete policies and mechanism for financial restructuring, land management and efficient production and business.
Hanoi leaders strictly implement regulations of the Government, issue decision on establishing commission to verify project on restructuring, renovating agriculture and forestry companies and enhancing their operation, and completing the project according to regulation. Pursuant to Resolution 118/2014/ND-CP dated December 17, 2014 of the Government on restructuring, renovating agriculture and forestry companies, Agriculture Investment and Development One-member Limited Liability Company is the only enterprise of Hanoi in the field of agriculture and forestry. Three factories of the company will be restructured and renovated. Currently, the Hanoi People’s Committee is proposing plan to restructure the factories, and considering plan on land use and management, finance management and labor use.
