The illegal acts of China must immediately end

The illegal installation of China’s drilling rig HD 981 in the Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone and continental shelf has faced protests of Vietnamese communities worldwide. Besides, a great number of politicians from many countries have shown their support for Vietnam.

On the website maccain.senate.gov, Senator John McCain said: "The act of China's vessels surrounding and bullying Vietnam's coast guard ships is an obvious example of aggressiveness at sea. China must bear full responsibility for its unilateral act". In the South China Morning Post, commentator Philip Bowring warned that China's recent acts in the East Sea are aggressive, presumptuous and full of hegemony. White House Speaker Jen Psaki once again confirmed that China's drilling rig deployment in the East Sea is provocation and unfavorable for regional security.
Following the statement by Minister of Foreign Affairs Marty Natalegawa, The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs showed their deep anxiety over recent issues in East Sea, specially the relations between China and Vietnam as well as the risk of escalation and miscalculations proven by the aggressiveness of China’s military ships that have damaged both property and people as well as violent incidents that led to dead and injured people and property damage.
Besides, the United Nations, Foreign Affairs Ministries of many countries, parliamentarians, politicians, researchers, scholars and worldwide peace-lovers confirmed that China has provoked and violated recent issues in East Sea. The illegal acts of China must immediately end. All parties need to solve the problem through peace solutions.
