The Mongolian Students Association in Vietnam: Each member is an ambassador to promote the image of Vietnam
This is the expectation of the Ambassador Doan Thi Huong during her meetings with the Steering Committee of the Mongolian Students Association in Vietnam.
On October 6, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia – Mrs. Doan Thi Huong has had a meeting with the Steering Committee of the Mongolian Students Association in Vietnam. This is the first presence of the Steering Committee after the Association being established in April, 2017.
In the meeting, the Chairman of the Association - Dr. G.Davkharbayar briefed the Ambassador on structure and vision of the Association. Dr. G.Davkharbayar said, almost all Mongolian students came back to Mongolia after graduation from Vietnamese universities are success in their respective careers, many have had doctor degree and hold important positions in Mongolian government. The feeling of teachers, friends and Vietnamese people toward Mongolian students during their time studying and living in Vietnam are unforgettable memories, some even considered Vietnam as their second hometown. As such, they want to stay closer and get in touch with each other; hoping to contribute more to improve the relationship between Mongolia and Vietnam.
After many years of preparation, on April 03, 2017, the Mongolian Students Association in Vietnam has been established with the authorization from the National Registration Administration (under the Ministry of Internal Affair and Jurisdiction, Mongolia). The Association has around 40 official members and went into operation in September. The objectives of the Association is not only a platform for Mongolian students in Vietnam to discuss, share and support each other, but also more importantly, to contribute improving the friendship between Mongolia and Vietnam; introduce and promote the culture, country and Vietnamese people to Mongolian people, as well as to introduce Mongolia to Vietnam, so that both countries and citizens to know more about each other.
Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Mrs. Doan Thi Huong highly regarded the efforts of Mongolian students in Vietnam in establishing the Association; congratulated Mongolian students to have a common home to support and share experiences in studying. The Ambassador stressed, as Vietnam and Mongolia have a traditional friendship, she expected that the Association will contribute to deepen this relationship. Each member will be an ambassador to promote the culture and image of Vietnam to Mongolian people. The potential for development of two countries are very large; in the 16th meeting of the Intergovernmental Panel between Vietnam and Mongolia took place at the beginning of August in Ulan Bator, the two countries have agreed on 34 cooperation programs in the coming time, including: politics, diplomatic, security and defense; trade and investment; agriculture and climate change, among others, especially are the export and import of agricultural products.
The Ambassador hoped the Association will have specific action plans to contribute to realize these cooperation program mentioned above, in which focus on the introduction of agricultural products of both countries. Moreover, the Association is aimed to become a credible source for information, which helps enterprises of both countries to access markets and promote trade. The Ambassador said the Embassy will create favorable conditions for the Association to develop and contribute positively to the relationship between Vietnam and Mongolia.
In response, the Chairman Dr. G.Davkharbayar and the members of Association will unite and implement efficiently the objectives, visions of the Association and recommendations of the Ambassador.
