The 60 businesspersons are the top leaders of the enterprises that earned a total revenue of VND1.2 quadrillion (US$49,989,600,000) and a total profit of VND70 trillion in 2021. They recorded a total owners' equity of VND722 trillion.

Their companies employed more than 251,000 workers and contributed nearly VND148 trillion to the State budget revenue in 2021.

Of the 60 businesspersons, the VCCI honored the Top 10 Entrepreneurs in 2022 in construction, information-communication-technology, food production, manufacturing, and oil and gas.

At the event, all 60 executives pledged to finance the construction of 212 social houses worth VND10.6 billion for low-income families. Twelve social houses will be built immediately for the people of Ky Son District in Nghe An Province to help them settle following recent floods and storms.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said Vietnamese enterprises had been the critical factor in Vietnam's socio-economic growth by steadily developing capabilities, capital, income, and profits.

"The Government always shares the concerns of the business community on a win-win principle for the country, the society and people to prosper, protect the environment, balance interests and limit risks for the said sides," PM Chinh said.

The Government will continue to improve the business environment, making it transparent and encouraging creativity and innovation among local businesses, stabilize macro-economic conditions, put inflation under control, and bolster socio-economic growth, he added.

"The Government aims for an industrialized, modern, self-sufficient Vietnamese economy integrated into the global economy, based on a more substantial domestic market and diverse international trade relations that offer multiple opportunities for local producers and supply chains," Chinh said.

The Government will accelerate administrative reforms to prevent and eliminate any official and unofficial obstacles that will trouble enterprises and people and solutions to gain investors' trust in the fields of finance and real estate, he said.

The prime minister urged Vietnamese government agencies and enterprises to enhance their professional and ethical qualities, improve corporate governance, participate more in the global value chain, embrace digital transformation, and show decisive actions in corporate responsibility.

Pham Tan Cong, Chairman of the VCCI, said, "The VCCI believes the entrepreneurs, who are honored today, will become good examples of business ethics for others to follow," Cong said.
