Coming to “Tourism Festival - Ninh Kieu colorful lanterns night” in Can Tho, visitors had a chance to see big and colourful lanterns to be dropped in the river with wonderful shapes and mordern liminuos technology. In which, nearly 100 lanterns have been dropped in Khai Luong channel, decorated with colourful lights, that have made impression for this special activity.

With the success of “Tourism Festival: Ninh Kieu colorful lanterns night”, the first time will be the base for the next annual festival and this will improve tourism activites, culture, festivals in Can Tho. Especially, being organized on the occasion of APEC 2017, this festival will help Can Tho City to attract more and more foreign tourists in the coming time.
This festival is the chance for tourism promotion “Typical tourist attractions of Mekong River – Ninh Kieu”, which was acknowledged by MeKong River Tourism Association in 2015, and help Ninh Kieu become “typical national tourist destination”.
