Tourism sector targets to attract 400,000 Russian holidaymakers this year

Vietnam`s tourism sector aims to attract at least 400,000 Russian holidaymakers in 2016, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration Nguyen Quoc Hung said at the tourism promotion programme held in Moscow on February 24.

The tourism promotion programme was jointly held by the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, the Vietnam Tourism Association, Hanoi Department of Tourism, and the Russian National Tourist Office and the Russian Tourism Association. 
Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration Nguyen Quoc Hung said at the event the country’s tourism sector targets to receive one million Russian tourists by 2020.

President of the Russian Tourism Association Sergey Agafonov highlighted Vietnam’s tourism potential and the possibility of increasing Russian visitors to Vietnam. 
At the event, Russian tourism agencies looked at incentives for Russian tourists in Vietnam. 
Vietnamese tourism service providers also introduced a tourism website in Russian, promotions and tourism packages. 
The Vietnam Tourism Association has worked with numerous relevant units and localities to launch new tourism products, discount programmes and improved service quality, especially in the Central Highlands, the south central region, the northwest and the capital of Hanoi.
