According to the plan recently announced, the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will increase to 800 flights on some domestic and international routes to meet the rising demand during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

From January 26 to February 24, the airlines will add 800 flights with 136,000 seats on 22 routes, raising the total seats for the Tet holiday to nearly 2.1 million, an rise of 7% compared to regular schedule and yearly 18%.
The flights will be run on 15 domestic routes from Hanoi to HCM City, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Pleiku, Da Nang, and Dong Hoi; and from HCM City to Da Nang, Hai Phong, Vinh, Hue, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Buon Me Thuot, Pleiku, and Dong Hoi.
The international routes on the list will include from Can Tho to Taipei and Kaohsiung in Taiwan (China), and from HCM City to Taipei, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong (China), Fukuoka and Osaka in Japan.
Passengers can use Vietnam Airlines online services such as Web check-in and Mobile check-in as well as Kiosk check-in service at the Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat and Da Nang airports.
The flights will be run on 15 domestic routes from Hanoi to HCM City, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Pleiku, Da Nang, and Dong Hoi; and from HCM City to Da Nang, Hai Phong, Vinh, Hue, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Buon Me Thuot, Pleiku, and Dong Hoi.
