According to the document, the two sides will promote trade and tourism, establish strategic partnerships, take measures to boost passenger and cargo traffic, improve the competitiveness of airports, and make better use of aviation agreements.

Vietnam Airlines and HKIA will work together to enhance operational and service quality by exploring new cooperation opportunities and methods that maximize mutual benefits.

In addition, both sides will share practical experiences, new initiatives and advanced technologies to optimize operational efficiency.

By working together, the parties hope to raise the bar for both cargo logistics and passenger experience to international levels, while continuously promoting a culture of innovation.

In addition, both parties are committed to the sustainable development of aviation through solutions such as optimizing fuel efficiency, minimizing waste and encouraging the use of renewable energy.

The cooperation will also focus on talent development through training programs offered by the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy (HKIAA) in air transport management, aviation security, crisis management, air traffic control, pilot training and aircraft engineering.

The MoU between Vietnam Airlines and Hong Kong International Airport marks a significant milestone in cooperation, contributing to the strengthening of economic, trade and investment ties between Vietnam and Hong Kong.

Vietnam Airlines has been operating flights between Vietnam and Hong Kong since November 1991. For nearly 33 years, the airline has carried over 5.7 million passengers on more than 46,000 flights to and from Hong Kong International Airport, boosting economic, trade, investment and tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Hong Kong. Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates seven round trips per week from Hanoi to Hong Kong.

In recent years, cooperation between Vietnam and Hong Kong (China) has expanded in various fields, with aviation playing a crucial role in facilitating closer ties.
