Vietnam among top 30 IT outsourcing spots

Hanoi Times – Vietnam is o­n Gartner’s, a reputed US market researcher, list of popular countries where IT groups outsource service operations.

Gartner has produced a list of 30 offshore service locations used by IT companies ranked based o­n the following criteria: cost, cultural similarity, intellectual property and data security, education, government assistance, legal stability, infrastructure, human resources, language and economic and political environment.

In the Asia – Pacific region, China is rated equal to India in terms of scale but its disadvantage is English. Vietnam is o­n the list but its business environment is said to be not attractive enough.

Gartner forecasts that next year, global offshore services spending will rise by 60% in Europe and 40% in the Americas.

The 30 most popular destinations in Alphabetical order:

The Americas: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, Uruguay

Asia – Pacific: Australia, China, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam

Europe, the Middle East and Africa: Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, North Ireland, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine.
