Vietnam attends food fair in Argentina

Vietnam is participating the 2015 International Food Fair (Fiar), which opened on April 15 in the city of Rosario, Argentina.

The four-day event showcases food, beverage and industrial products from 300 enterprises worldwide across over 4,000 square metres. 
At the fair, representatives from the Vietnamese Commercial Affairs mission to Argentina presented customs procedures as well as potential Vietnamese products such as coffee, rubber and wooden products to foreign businesses. 
Businesses from Argentina demonstrated interest in Vietnamese coffee, rubber tyres, motorbikes and home decorations.

They also looked into shipping wine, wheat flour, juice and cattle feed to Vietnam. 
Trade turnover between Vietnam and Argentina hit a record high of 1.92 billion USD in 2014. 
Vietnam’s exports to Argentina reached 214.2 million USD while imports stood at 1.7 billion USD. 
Vietnam sold primarily footwear, electronic products, garments, plastic products, mechanical devices, iron and steel, in turn purchasing materials for animal feed, cereals, leather materials, seafood and cotton.
