A Master’s Degree Training Programme between Vietnam and Belgium celebrated its 20-year implementation at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management under the Free University of Brussels (ULB) on October 21.
According to Eric De Keuleneer, executive committee president of the ULB – the programme’s Belgian partner, the initiative aims to train European-standards Vietnamese managers and enhance capacity of Vietnamese partners – the National Economics University and the Ho Chi Minh City Open University.
Under the cooperation, 30 courses in five major programmes have been carried out thus far.
At the ceremony, Vietnam’s Education and Training Deputy Minister Pham Manh Hung acknowledged the educational initiative’s substantial contributions to training high-quality human resources in Vietnam with more than 2,000 master’s degree holders trained so far.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Vuong Thua Phong underscored multifaceted engagement between the two nations, particularly in education and expressing his hope for further academic collaboration moving forwards.
The Vietnam-Belgium Master’s Degree Training Programme began in 1996 in the framework of the cooperation agreement between the two governments.
