Vietnam-China international tourism trade fair 2015 officially opened
On December 16, Vietnam-China international tourism trade fair 2015 officially opened at the Center of Culture, Sports of Mong Cai City in the northern province of Quang Ninh (Mong Cai, Vietnam - Dong Xing - China).
This is the 10th Fair held alternately between the two countries and takes place from December 16 to December 22, 2015.
Competitive products from Vietnam and China including agro-forestry and aquatic products, machines, equipment, electronics, handicraft and wooden items are showcased at 470 pavilions. The fair also aimed to help both sides promote trade and tourism activities, seek investment opportunities and introduce unique tourism products.
In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee Le Quang Tung said the fair served as a bridge for Vietnamese and Chinese businesses to seek partners, cooperate to expand markets, and strengthen investment and tourism activities. Diverse activities are expected to be held during the fair including a street festival, a trade and tourism promotion workshop and the signing of a number of memoranda of understanding and contracts.
The event also offers a good chance for Vietnamese and foreign businesses to meet and cooperate for mutual development, introduce new products and services and seek new outlets. It also contributes to enhancing the friendship between Vietnam and China and accelerate trade exchange through Mong Cai border gate economic zone.
Fair include 400 booths from over 250 organizations, enterprises and individuals (including 100 booths of 80 companies China). The items on display, introduce and advertise at the fair was the product is strong exchanges between Vietnam and China, such as agriculture, forestry, fisheries, machinery, electronics, handicrafts technology, furniture. Along with that is the potential introduction booth, destination, special tours of Vietnam and China.
From 2004 upto now, China has always been the leading trade partner of Vietnam. Bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam - China increased rapidly with the growth rate of average speed in the last year over 20% year and China has always been the largest trade partner of Vietnam export turnover in 2014 that reached 58.6 billion US dollars, up 16.7% compared to 2003 and in May 9, 2015 reached 49.3 billion USD.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said the fair is an important activity within the Programme of National Trade Promotion implemented by Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee in collaboration with the Guangxi province, China. The fair will be an opportunity to contribute to enhancing trade exchange Vietnam - China, pro-growth export turnover through the Mong Cai international border gate.
In the framework of Vietnam-China international tourism trade fair 2015, there are the following activities: street festival; workshop on trade promotion, tourism, investment with the theme "Promoting trade border for regional win-win tourism cooperation" and signed memoranda and contracts; theater exchange program for border river; passenger cars drive themselves across the border and so on.
