Additionally, participants will include representatives from the Chinese diplomatic mission in Vietnam, Chinese organizations, associations, and business representatives.
The conference serves as a platform for the five provinces and cities to enhance information exchange, foster transportation links, and collaborate in various sectors such as trade, investment, education, tourism, health, currency, and insurance.
The event also aims to strengthen friendship and mutual trust, promoting the flow of goods, stimulating economic and trade development, and contributing to the socio-economic progress of the involved localities.
During the conference, a signing ceremony for conference minutes and a cooperation agreement among the parties will be held. This event is a crucial political and economic foreign affair for Hanoi, coinciding with the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Furthermore, the conference will review the implementation of cooperation outlined in the 9th Conference's minutes, discuss strategies for effective future collaboration, and contribute to the economic growth of member provinces, fostering beneficial cooperation within the Economic Corridor.
Established in 2004, the economic corridor cooperation between the five provinces and cities, namely Hanoi, Haiphong, Quang Ninh, Lao Cai (Vietnam), and Yunnan (China) has proven its efficacy over nearly two decades. Through nine conferences, this mechanism has facilitated deepening cooperation in friendly exchanges, transportation connections, trade, tourism, culture, and the arts, enhancing the amicable and cooperative relations between the two countries.
A recent manifestation of this friendship and cooperation is the "Two Countries, Six Destinations" golden tour model initiated by the Hanoi Department of Tourism and Tourism Departments of provinces and cities, including Lao Cai, Quang Ninh, Haiphong, along with Honghe County in Yunnan Province, China, starting from March 2023.
