Vietnam Culture Day held in in Vladimir City

The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia in co-ordination with the Overseas Vietnamese Association organized Vietnam Culture Day in Vladimir City, Russia on May 12.

The event attracted a large gathering and featured the elegance and beauty of Vietnamese women garbed in the nation's traditional long dress (Ao Dai) in front of the city’s central theatre along with a traditional lion dance to bring good luck.

Many young people working and studying in Vladimir City wore shirts embroidered with a red flag and yellow star or white shirts with the letter S and words “I love Vietnam”, creating a patriotic and colourful mosaic.

On this occasion, an open letter supporting Vietnam’s measures to solve disputes in the East Sea after China’s illegal installation of its drilling rig Ocean-981 in the country’s waters was signed by hundreds of Overseas Vietnamese and Russian friends.
