Vietnam destinations among Asia’s best places to ring in the New Year 2019

Say goodbye to 2018 and hello to 2019 by traveling to the best places in Asia to celebrate New Year`s Eve.

Countdown to the New Year amid Halong Bay’s Limestone Karsts or soak up an open-air Art Studio on Cam Ranh Bay (Vietnam) have been ranked 3rd and 5th among the best destinations in Asia to ring in the New Year 2019, according to a list released by Luxury Travel Magazine, one of the world’s leading luxury travel websites.

Luxury Travel Magazine advises travelers that revelers would be hard-pressed to find a more compelling destination to celebrate the new year than Vietnam’s famed Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
“To mark the occasion, Ha Long Bay’s leading luxury cruise provider Paradise Cruises will host special menus including delectable fresh seafood before the countdown on its Paradise Luxury, Paradise Elegance and Paradise Peak cruises. A live Filipino band will entertain with an eclectic mix of tunes ranging from jazz and pop to Vietnamese classics on Paradise Elegance.  When the sun appears on New Year’s Day, guests will again be greeted by awe-inspiring vistas of the bay’s limestone karst formations rising up from turquoise waters,” Luxury Travel Magazine  wrote.
In addition, soak up an open-air Art Studio on Cam Ranh Bay also the best choice for ring in the New Year 2019. Taking prime advantage of its beachfront digs on Vietnam’s up and coming Cam Ranh peninsula, the Anam’s lush gardens will transform into a sprawling open-air art studio in the lead up to the new year.
The resort will hold its annual “Garden and Sun Artist in Residence” from December 26 to 31, during which guests will be encouraged to watch and talk with talented local artists as they create artwork from December 26 to 29. The artwork will be showcased at an exhibition nightly from December 29 to 31 between 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Au Lac Ballroom to a backdrop of traditional Vietnamese music with complimentary drinks and canapes.
The resort will also host an exquisite gala dinner, buffet and degustation menu on New Year’s Eve before the countdown at a party where DJs will spin the decks.
Usher in the New Year with a firework extravaganza in Taipei, Taiwan (China) tops the list, followed by slurp soba, jive to jazz, make mochi and wave to the emperor in Tokyo (Japan), countdown to the New Year Amid Ha Long Bay’s Limestone Karsts, wine n’ dine on Coconut Island, soak up an open-air Art Studio on Cam Ranh Bay.
Vietnam welcomed some 11.616 million foreign visitors in the first nine months of 2018, an 22.9% increase from the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office.
Arrivals by air, road, and sea in the reviewed period recorded annual increases of 17.4%, 62.1%, and 0.5%, respectively, while growth was also seen in the numbers of visitors from all five continents.
