Vietnam’s exports to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) hit 3.463 billion USD in the first seven months of this year, up 23.37 percent year on year, reported Nhan dan (People) daily.
Two-way trade between the two sides also reached 3.687 billion USD, a rise of 20.06 percent over the same period last year.
Vietnam’s hard currency earners in the market included mobile phones (2.676 billion USD), electronics and spare parts (282.86 million USD), peppercorn (86.69 million USD), garment (75.29 million USD), footwear (62.29 million USD), and seafood (36.29 million USD).
The UAE, the largest entrepôt in the Middle East, has become the leading market for Vietnam’s export and is acknowledged as one of the top ten trade partners of the Southeast Asian nation.
