More and more Korean enterprises investing in Vietnam and gaining success contributed to promoting the strategic cooperation partnership between the two countries.
At a meeting with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in Hanoi on March 26, Chairman of the South Korea Communications Commission Lee Hyo-seong has pledged to do his best to build a TV channel about Vietnam in his country in the near future, the government portal reported.
Lee Hyo-seong expressed that South Korean people have a good impression of Vietnam. In 2018, the number of Korean tourists to Vietnam reached 3.16 million, an increase of 50% compared to 2017.
He believed that along with love for coach Park Hang-seo, more Korean tourists will visit Vietnam and vice versa, bringing the two countries’ people closer.
Lee Hyo-seong added that more and more Korean enterprises investing in Vietnam and gaining success contributed to promoting the strategic cooperation partnership between the two countries.
The chairman said that he will actively contribute to enhancing the relationship between the two countries in all fields. He informed PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc about the signing of a co-production agreement between Vietnam and South Korea to promote the image of Vietnam and South Korea to theỉ peoples.
Expressing his impression and good feelings for Vietnam, Lee Hyo-seong wishes, with cooperation programs, not only to produce television programs broadcast in each country but also to export to other countries.
For his part, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc highly valued the agreement between the South Korea Communications Commission and Vietnam’s Ministry of Information and Communication on co-production of television programs.
The PM asked the two sides to work closely to implement the agreement and emphasized the role of the South Korean Communications Commission and Lee Hyo-seong.
Phuc said that in addition to successful brands in Vietnam such as Lotte and Samsung, Vietnam expects to receive a new wave of South Korean investment in Vietnam. The Vietnamese government always creates favorable conditions for South Korean investors in Vietnam, he stressed.
As the two countries are targeting to boost bilateral trade to over US$100 billion, PM Phuc proposed the South Korea Communications Commission promote activities meant to introduce the country and people of Vietnam and South Korea in each other’s country, thus being a bridge for bilateral relations.
