Vietnam - France Culture and Friendship Week rocks Ho Chi Minh City

The event takes place at Youth Cultural House in Ho Chi Minh City during April 15-20.

An exhibition on education in France is also being held. French cuisine, French music, and French contemporary dance, the Krossing Over Arts Festival, screening of French films, and a quiz on France and the two countries’ friendship are also on the agenda.
French Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Vincent Floreani, in his opening speech, said the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties marks a milestone in the path of bilateral relations.
He quoted French President Emmanuel Macron as telling a press conference following talks with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong during the latter’s visit in March that over the 45 years of diplomatic ties and five years of the strategic partnership the two sides have recorded many achievements. France will be further present in the region into the future and Vietnam will be a friend in helping it consolidate this presence. According to the Organizing Board, such events will Vietnamese people learn more about France and promote cultural exchanges between the two countries.
