A forum, co-chaired by the Germany Trade & Invest and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam, to build business connections between Vietnam and Germany will be held in Hanoi on October 13.
The forum is expected to attract tens of businesses from eastern German states trading in various fields such as construction, mechanics, chemicals and agriculture.
It will create a chance for business communities to share experiences in manufacturing and technology transfer as well as promote cooperative partnership between the two countries.
The strategic partnership between Vietnam and Germany has developed strongly in the past years.
Germany is one of the leading trade partners of Vietnam in the European Union (EU), with trade turnover reaching nearly 8 billion EUR in 2014 and witnessing an average growth of 15-20% in the past five years.
Vietnam mainly exports garment-textiles, footwear, coffee and seafood to Germany.
