Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity 2016 debuted

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, and the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly held ceremony to introduce the publication of Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity 2016 in Hanoi on August 29.

Addressing the event, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan affirmed that the publication of Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity 2016 aims to honour outstanding individuals whose research works and applications in the field of natural and applied sciences have significantly contributed to the country’s socio-economic development.

The book helps to promote patriotism, wisdom and creativity, contributing to establish the national creative culture.
Chairwoman Ngan lauded the initiative to compile the book that comprises 71 highly applicable creative scientific and technological works on the occasion of the upcoming 71st Independence Day (September 2). 
The Chairwoman also proposed that relevant agencies continue encouraging sectors at all levels as well as Vietnamese people at home and abroad to join efforts in creative works and the research and application of scientific and technological advances, thus contributing to the national growth.
Speaking at the debuting ceremony, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan said that the book, the first of its kind, will encourage individuals, agencies, organisations and enterprises to strongly engage in creative activities and scientific researches and technology development in all fields. 
This will help improve productivity, quality, and effectiveness of the national economy for successful international integration, VFF President Nhan added.
Particularly, among the authors with highly applicable inventions is Mai Van Cuc, who made a biological fly trap.
On the occasion, certificates and copies of the book were presented to authors of works contained in the Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity 2016.
