VNPT IDC Hoa Lac covers a total area of up to 23,000 square meters with a capacity of up to 2,000 rack cabinets, making it the largest in Vietnam to date.

IDC Hoa Lac has achieved Uptime's Tier III certification for Design Documentation (TCDD), and Construction Installation (TCCF), and will soon receive Operations Certification (TCOS). The equipment in the IDC is provided by renowned companies from G7 countries such as Cumin, Hitachi and Siemens.

The IDC center is capable of super-fast network connectivity, averaging 2Gbps per rack for domestic connections and 0.5Gbps per rack for international network connections.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, To Dung Thai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VNPT Group, said that the center meets the highest technical and security standards in the world and Vietnam. It will contribute to providing a comprehensive digital infrastructure ecosystem for VNPT's customers and partners, with the aim of individualizing and tailoring services to their needs.

The Group plans to continue seeking opportunities to collaborate with partners and investors to build new data centers on a regional and global scale using green and sustainable technology.

This reaffirms VNPT's role in accompanying the Government and enterprises in realizing the national digital transformation aspirations, to become the digital hub of the region, Thai said.

At the event, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung urged the group to continue building internationally competitive IDCs to meet the Government's digital, economic and social infrastructure needs. This is to ensure that Vietnamese enterprises no longer have to worry about outsourcing data storage and processing outside Vietnam and to attract global customers.

Vietnam currently has 39 small and medium-sized data centers, equivalent to the number of 15 data centers opened in Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park.

Hung said It needs to open five data centers every year to meet Vietnam's data needs. He called on Vietnamese enterprises to take advantage of Vietnam's cloud computing services,, and recommended ministries, sectors, localities, organizations, and enterprises, instead of investing and operating their IDCs and IT systems, switch to using services from professional providers.

"This will be more cost-effective, secure and flexible, and contribute to the development of digital businesses in the country," said Minister Nguyen Manh Hung.
