Vietnam hopes to soon sign financial cooperation framework agreement with Poland

At the meeting with Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo in Warsaw, on June 9, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh hoped that Vietnam and Poland soon sign a framework agreement on financial cooperation in the credit.

During the meeting, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to its time-honoured friendship and cooperation with Poland.
The Vice President thanked Poland for its preferential credit worth 250 million EUR for Vietnam, hoping that the two countries soon sign a framework agreement on financial cooperation in the credit, thus  implementing specific projects as soon as possible. 
Prime Minister (PM) Beata Szydlo believed that the bilateral cooperation will further develop in the coming time, especially in the context that the Vietnam-EU free trade agreement is about to become effective. 
On the basis of the two countries’ fine traditional friendship and as an active member of the EU, Poland will continue supporting the strengthening of the Vietnam-EU comprehensive cooperation and partnership. 
Both sides shared the view on the thriving bilateral cooperation during the past 66 years. Notably, Poland continues to be Vietnam’s top trade partner in the central and eastern European region with two-way trade at 761 million USD in 2015.
Both sides agreed that the two countries have advantages to expand cooperation in agriculture, defence, health, pharmaceuticals, tourism, and culture.
The Polish PM stressed the contributions of the Vietnamese community in Poland to the host country’s development. 
PM Beata Szydlo also shared the stance of settling East Sea disputes by peaceful means on the basis of international law, when being informed of recent developments in the waters by Vice President Thinh.
Earlier, on the occasion of attending the 26th Global Summit of Women in Warsaw capital city from June 9-11, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh met with Polish President Andrzej Duda on June 8.
At the meeting, President Andrzej Duda affirmed that Poland always attaches importance to boosting traditional amity and multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam. The President highly appreciated the significant development successes that the Vietnam has achieved. 
Vice President Thinh pledged that Vietnam will provide an optimal and safe environment for foreign investors, including those from Poland. 
Also on June 8, the Vice President had a meeting with the Vietnamese Embassy’s staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Poland.
