With divine beaches, towering mountains and marvelous landscapes, it is no wonder that Vietnam is fast becoming one of the most exciting destinations for golfers from all around the world.
World Golf Awards has just revealed the best golf destinations and organizations of 2021 at its 8th annual Gala Ceremony in Dubai.

Accordingly, Vietnam, with its resurgent golf market, was one of the big winners, collecting trophies for both “Asia’s Best Golf Destination” and “World’s Best Golf Destination”, whilst Da Nang’s Ba Na Hills Golf Club was named ‘Asia’s Best Golf Course’ in 2021.
Vietnam now boasts around 80 golf courses and there are many more in the construction stage. With its varied topography and long coastline, Vietnam has become a serious golfing country.
According to Top100golfcourses.com, there are many big hitters in modern golf course architecture presented in Vietnam.
“Leading the way, we have Greg Norman with his Bluffs Ho Tram Strip layout, which has been the national #1 for the last four editions of our Vietnamese ranking. That course actually debuted a few years after BRG Da Nang that opened for play in 2010, and a more recent design at Cam Ranh is now making a big impression in the listings,” the golf website stated.
Meanwhile, the newly recognized ‘Asia’s Best Golf Course’ in 2021 Ba Na Hills Golf Club was designed by Luke Donald and managed by IMG. It is considered a world-class golf facility located at the foothills of the famed Ba Na Hills on Vietnam’s central coast, just 25 minutes from downtown Da Nang. The par 72, 18-hole golf course also provides a balance of challenge, enjoyment, and excitement to golfers, according to golf experts.

Hosted in the United Arab Emirates for the second time, this year’s World Golf Awards proved to be a global gathering of the golf industry, with the attendance of pioneers, influencers, and leading figureheads.
Chris Frost, Managing Director, World Golf Awards, said: “We have had the privilege of recognizing the leading golf courses, hotels, resorts, designers, and tour operators from across the world, and my congratulations to each of them.”
The results follow a year-long search for the world’s favorite golf tourism and hospitality brands. Votes were cast by golf industry professionals, the media, and the public, with the nominee gaining the most votes in a category named as the winner.
World Golf Awards serves to celebrate and reward excellence in golf tourism, world-class courses, and golf destinations.
It is also the sister organization of the World Travel Awards, currently celebrating its 28th anniversary.
