Party Chief expects Danang to become an international trade hub

Hanoi strengthens OCOP product branding
Hanoi aims to build stronger brands for OCOP (One Commune, One Products) items for better competitiveness by focusing on highly processed products and promoting traditional handicrafts, such as lacquerware and ceramics. Currently, Hanoi leads Vietnam in OCOP product ratings, with 3,317 products rated.
Ho Chi Minh City begins construction of pedestrian bridge over Saigon River
Ho Chi Minh City has begun construction on a pedestrian bridge over the Saigon River, connecting Bach Dang Wharf Park in District 1 with Thu Thiem Riverfront Park. The project, funded by Nutifood - a domestic food and nutrition firm with 22% of the market share - costs nearly US$40 million. The bridge, to be the first diagonal arch bridge in Vietnam, will improve urban connectivity, expand downtown development, and provide a recreational spot for residents.

Vietnam is preparing to nominate the Binh Dinh Traditional Martial Arts for UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage List. This martial art is deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture and combines fighting skills with philosophy and ethics. More than just a sport, it embodies resilience and national identity. In 2012, Binh Dinh Traditional Martial Arts was declared a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Quang Ninh targets two million visitors with Bai Tu Long Bay tour
The northern province of Quang Ninh has launched a new tour in Bai Tu Long Bay, aiming to attract two million visitors by 2025. The locality has huge tourism potential with more than 600 islands and the ASEAN-designated Bai Tu Long National Park. In 2024, Quang Ninh, which is home to UNESCO's World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay, welcomed 19 million visitors, generating more than US$1.8 billion.
