The festival aims to promote and honor outstanding OCOP products and producers and to reaffirm Hanoi’s leading role as the country’s “pacesetter” in the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program.
THE HANOI TIMES — The Vietnam OCOP Festival 2025, themed “Vietnam – Convergence and Diffusion”, will celebrate outstanding products and producers, marking more than seven years of nationwide implementation of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Hanoi People’s Committee co-organize the event, which will take place from December 20 to December 23 at Hanoi’s Imperial Citadel of Thang Long for the first time.

The festival will offer a wide range of activities, including the opening ceremony and a special art program titled “OCOP – Connecting Excellence”, ceremonies honoring outstanding national OCOP producers and forums focused on improving product quality and promoting sustainable OCOP development.
Visitors can explore regional OCOP exhibition areas, five-star OCOP products, handicrafts, culinary specialties, international OCOP showcases and digital transformation zones.
Other highlights include the OCOP Vietnam Livestream Day and cultural exchange activities celebrating traditional crafts.
A standout attraction will be an oil painting more than 300 meters long titled “Vietnam – Land and People”.
The work has earned recognition as the longest landscape painting depicting rural development and OCOP achievements across Vietnam’s three regions. Organizers expect the artwork to help spread pride in Vietnamese-made products.
According to Nguyen Dinh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, the festival is an opportunity to highlight Hanoi’s pioneering role in implementing the OCOP program.
The city has recognized nearly 3,500 OCOP products rated three stars or higher, ranking Hanoi as the most successful locality nationwide.
“Hanoi continues to position itself as a national hub for OCOP excellence and a key gateway for bringing Vietnamese OCOP products to international markets,” Hoa said.
According to the Central Coordination Office for New Rural Development, Vietnam now has more than 18,200 OCOP products rated three stars and above. This standardized quality system has helped strengthen and elevate the national brand.
Notably, 60% of OCOP producers nationwide have recorded average annual revenue growth of 17.6%. Women account for about 40% of OCOP stakeholders, while ethnic minorities represent nearly 20%.
Many OCOP products now reach markets in more than 60 countries and territories, gradually strengthening the global presence of Vietnamese agricultural goods.
