Vietnam solidifies global standing when taking on two significant roles in 2020
2020 will be a busy and remarkable year for Vietnam as the country will assume the chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, and the role of non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, the two significant positions that will promote the country’s prestige in the region and world stage.
Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam Ibnu Hadi speaks to Hanoitimes on the role of Vietnam when the country takes on the two roles next year as well as the paper that Hanoi plays.
