Vietnam, South Africa boost cooperation in information and communications

Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son paid a visit working to South Africa from October 16-18 to promote cooperation in information and communications.

At the meeting with Vietnamese Minister Nguyen Bac Son, South African Minister of Communications Faith Muthambi said the visit marked a new landmark for the two countries to boost cooperation in information and communications.

The two ministers also agreed to increase the exchange of delegations and establish dialogue channels to share state managerial experience in the information and communications sector, especially in digitalised television, press management, among other fields. 
Minister Son recommended the two sides create favorable conditions for their telecom enterprises to invest and cooperate with each other. 
The delegation also visited South Africa’s leading enterprises in telecom and related sectors such as Telkom, Rothschild, HSBC, DSC and Halo Technology.
