Vietnam to ensure operation for market stabilization during Tet holiday
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has just granted Directive No.48/CT-TTg on enhancing the management and operation to stabilize the market and ensure social order and safety during Tet holiday 2018.
To well prepare for best conditions to serve people on Tet holiday, the Prime Minister asked Ministers, leaders of ministry-level agencies, heads of the Government’s bodies, Chair-people of provinces, centrally-run cities basing on their assigned functions and missions to strictly implement Directive No. 16-CT/TW dated December 22, 2017 of the Secretariat on organizing Tet 2018; urgently direct units to synchronously and effectively implement missions and solutions with a focus on following key tasks:
People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities are tasked to organize firework shows which are suitable for localities’ conditions and abilities; direct functional units to effectively deploy the above solutions in localities. Heads of agencies, units, organizations will take direct responsible for arising violation cases in areas.
Ministries, agencies and localities will direct authorized units, organizations and enterprises to proactively make plans on production and trade to ensure all activities during Tet holiday; strictly carry out Official Order No. 1882/CD-TTg dated December 8, 2017 of the Prime Minister on ensuring traffic order and safety on Tet holiday and Spring festivals in 2018. State administrative agencies at all levels will grasp and strictly implement the PM’s direction.
Localities suffered from flooding, especially provinces directly affected by cyclones 10, 12, 16 and floods in 2017 will proactively take measures to overcome consequences of natural disasters; well organize the rescue, research and timely support people to stabilize their living condition , restore production as soon as possible; timely carry out properly policies and present gifts to the poor, the elderly and policy beneficiaries on Tet holiday; encourage enterprises, organizations, individuals to support the poor, people in difficult circumstances, those in remote areas; tighten the management of state budget revenue and expenditure as regulated; ensure funds for missions of social welfare assurance.
After Tet holiday, agencies, units are tasked to urgently focus on settling and performing public duties.
The National Steering Committee for Combating Smuggling, Commercial Fraud and Counterfeit Goods (National Steering Committee No. 389) will be in charge of enhancing inspection and urge ministries, sectors, localities to strengthen the fight against smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeit goods; launch peak period of combating smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeit goods from now until Tet, paying much attention to several high-demand products, such as alcohol, beer, cigarettes, food and prohibited items.
