Deputy Minister of Transport Le Anh Tuan requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) to continue discussing with foreign aviation authorities on reopening flights to countries,  which have already reopenedirect air routes to Vietnam at the level of before Covid-19, in addition to the markets that restored air connections with Vietnam in January.

The frequency of these routes will be gradually increased according to a scheduled plan to ensure the principles of safe adaptation, flexible and effective control of the pandemic.

The Ministry of Transport will report to the Prime Minister on the results of the resumption of international routes this February.

Previously, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, the Thai aviation authorities have also agreed to reopen air routes and put no limit on the number of flights.

Up to now, except for China, all countries that Vietnam proposed to restore air connections have agreed with the plan and there will be international flights from Vietnam to new markets such as the Middle East, Turkey in the coming time.

The aviation industry is ready in all aspects to exploit the whole international flight network as before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The early resumption in terms of flights and frequency of operation also meets the expectation and proposal of aviationand tourism industries

Most countries have also normalized international flight operations, with no restrictions on the subjects and purposes of travel.
