Vietnam Youth Federation launches Winter and Spring voluntary campaigns
In response to the “I love my homeland” movement, the Vietnam Youth Federation launched the Winter Volunteer Campaign 2015 and Spring Volunteer Campaign 2016 in the northern province of Lang Son on October 18.
The launching ceremony attracted the participation of 2,000 local youth members.
The voluntary campaigns will run nationwide through the end of February, 2016 with the aim to support and help people in need and those living in disadvantaged regions such as mountainous and border areas.
After the ceremony, about 1,000 volunteers participated in such activities as cleaning roads, providing free health care and blankets to the disadvantaged people, and cooking free meals to about 500 poor students.
