Vietnamese dinners enjoy US true tastes in Hanoi

It’s expected to present Vietnamese diners and food lovers with a wide range of American dishes, drinks, agricultural products, and cultural experiences.

The Great American Barbeque Festival held today [September 12] at the Melia Hotel in Hanoi aimed to introduce Vietnamese diners and food enthusiasts to a diverse array of American cuisine, beverages, agricultural products, and cultural experiences.

Attendees enjoyed an American BBQ that featured 30 different dishes made from 24 US ingredients, such as Nebraskan beef, US pork, chicken, Alaskan seafood, potatoes, California cheese, Washington apples, blueberries, raisins, fresh tofu, cooking oils from US soybeans, as well as Californian peaches and nectarines.

The buffet dinner menu was exclusively crafted and prepared by the chefs of the five-star MOSAICO restaurant at the Melia Hanoi Hotel.

“I’m thrilled to share the rich stories of American barbecue traditions and guide Vietnamese diners on a culinary adventure that highlights innovative dishes made with high-quality and flavorful ingredients sourced from USDA cooperators,” Santiago Cabre, General Manager of Melia Hanoi Hotel, told The Hanoi Times
