He highly valued the outcomes of the Vietnamese legislative leader’s meetings with Party General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Yu Zhengsheng and Chairman of the National People’s Congress of China Zhang Dejiang.
The meetings results are important to directing the development of bilateral ties in the time ahead, he noted.
Xu added more than 70 Hunan businesses are doing business in mining, building material and machinery production in Vietnam. The province also established the friendship and cooperative relationship with Vietnam’s Nghe An province in 2001.
For his part, Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung spoke highly of Hunan’s socio-economic development, especially economic growth and improved living standards, and voiced his delight at the recent progress in relations between Vietna and China as well as between Hunan and Vietnamese localities.
He reiterated that Vietnam attaches utmost importance to promoting its comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China in a stable and sustainable fashion, along with fostering result-oriented cooperation between their localities.
He also briefed the local official about his talks and meetings with the Chinese Party and State leaders, which straightforwardly and sincerely discussed matters on which their countries have different viewpoints, particularly sea-related problems. The two sides concurred in exerting all efforts to control and manage disagreements and jointly solve the issues through negotiations and not let them affect the overall interests and relationship, the Chairman noted.
He asked Chinese localities, including Hunan, to effectively implement the agreements reached by the nations’ leaders, and increase exchanges and cooperation with Vietnamese ministries, sectors and localities, ultimately deepening their traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
Earlier the same day, the Vietnamese leader paid tribute to late Chinese President Mao Zedong at the memorial site in his hometown – Hunan’s Shaoshan city.
