The 27th edition of the world’s largest annual event is underway until February 17.

According to the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), this is an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to seek new partners and diversify their markets in the context that they are finding it hard to export agricultural and aquatic products to the traditional markets due to the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The participating enterprises include Vietnam Dairy Products JSC (Vinamik), Hanfimex Vietnam Group JSC, Hoang Son 1 JSC, Prosi Thang Long JSC, Tan Phat Foods Corporation, Thanh Nam Import Export Production JSC, and Dinh Phu My Coconut Co., Ltd.

This year, the fair is held with over 5,000 booths, attracting nearly 100,000 visitors. The Vietnamese companies’ booth, with the theme Foods of Vietnam, are displaying rice, cashew nuts, coconut, pepper, cinnamon, anise, milk and dairy products, fresh fruits and juice, among other items.

A special feature of the event will be the introduction of dedicated e-commerce sessions about trends, tests, and solutions in collaboration with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The fair’s organizers expected the development of e-commerce will help manufacturers present their products to the world’s potential investors and customers in the context of the current complicated Covid-19 pandemic.
