The annual Vietnamese Talent Awards 2018 was launched on April 23 with a focus on the power of digital technology.
The awards will honour outstanding information and technology (IT) products which have led to a successful digital transformation and have benefited different areas in people’s lives, with a priority on products developed by start-ups businesses.
The IT category will be divided into three groups given to promising digital products, IT products from start-ups, and mobile connectivity products.
First, second, and third prizes worth VND200 million, VND100 million, and VND50 million will be presented to the winners of each group.
In addition to the main prizes for IT products, the organising board will also honour talented individuals and collectives in other fields, including science and technology, medicine and pharmaceuticals, and the environment, with top prize in each category worth VND200 million.
Meanwhile, the talent incentive category encourages talents who have overcome difficulties and promoted the spirit of self-study in order to successfully implement projects that have benefited their residential communities and the surrounding areas.
The Vietnamese Talent Awards were launched in 2005 by the Vietnam Association of Promoting Education in coordination with Vietnam Post and Telecommunications, Vietnam Television and Dan Tri online newspaper.
